I am painfully embarassed today to be a part of a country that will hold a parlimentary hearing over the appointment of a hockey player as captain. Shane Doan was accused of something and cleared of the same thing 17 months ago and now the good ole Bloc Quebecois (who is openly trying to break up this country) is wasting canadian's money to stick their nose into something that really is a dead issue and is really something that shouldn't be decided by government. How these people sleep at night while they spend millions on nothing is beyond me...I'm just angry right now and I'm sure somethings I want to say I would regret later. I also find it interesting that if a Political Party believes that something so terrible has happened that they need to hold a hearing, why do the party members try to run away from any questions pertaining to the subject? I know it's only hockey and shouldn't be a big deal, but really this goes beyond the basic issue and is wrong in so many other ways too. Mainly the government trying to dictate to it's citizens what it wants and punishing people for not going along with it. When you really think about it, all this is, is a way for politicians to get tv time, so people know they are still around. An added bonus for the Bloc as they get to try and create this "The Country is Against us" image that they force on french canadians everywhere. Only in Canada can you have a province that will fine you if your French writing on the sign isn't bigger then the English on it. But I am getting way off topic here in my anger and I hope to one day not be embarassed to tell someone that I am canadian...and I hope that when Canada wins the World Championships the government gets no thanks at all...they deserve none. They added a new opponent to team Canada and that is it's own Government....
GET A LIFE!
I apologize, this just makes me mad and probably always will.
Pray for ottawa...I know I should.
